It is our favourite time of the year where some of Australia’s favourite glam up for the TV WEEK Logie Awards, and the 2024 season is bound to impress.

The 64th Award ceremony will once again be held in Sydney, New South Wales on Sunday, August 18.

Sonia Kruger won the TV WEEK Gold Logie in 2023.

But there is a slight tweak to the upcoming event.

The judging panel will be expanded to ensure a greater representation of Australia’s diverse television industry with the recruitment process officially underway.

Additionally, there will be changes to the award categories with 20 awards changing from “Most Popular” and “Most Outstanding” to “Best”.

Comedy categories will also be separated from drama for acting given its popularity as a solo genre. Drama has also been separated from miniseries and television.

Comedy will further be split into Scripted Comedy and Comedy Entertainment, plus reality TV categories will be divided into Competition Reality and Structured Reality.

Winners of the “Best” awards will be determined by both the judging panel, viewing data and votes from the Australian public.

A second news award will also be added to the agenda.

However, three awards will remain as “Most Popular” including TV WEEK Gold Logie for Most Popular Personality on Australian Television, the Bert Newton Award for Most Popular Presenter and the Graham Kennedy Award for Most Popular New Talent.

The nominees for these awards will be decided by a panel of industry experts before being voted on by the Australin public.

The TV WEEK Logie Hall of Fame Award will remain solely judged by a panel of industry experts.

As for who will host the elaborate 64th TV WEEK Logie Awards? Viewers will have to stay tuned!
