Get ready to pull out your best Dancing Queen moves – ABBA are reuniting for a new digital entertainment project.
The hit ’70s pop group have not formally performed together since they split up more than 30 years ago, but now Agnetha Fältskog, 66, Björn Ulvaeus, 71, Benny Andersson, 69, and Anni-Frid Lyngstad, 70, are reuniting for a live “entertainment experience.”

There aren’t many details about the show yet, but it will reportedly blend virtual reality and artificial intelligence to enable fans to interact with the band’s iconic disco sound.
It will be developed in collaboration with music manager Simon Fuller, who rose to fame managing the Spice Girls in the nineties.
Abba rose to fame in the seventies with their unmistakable disco sound.
“We are exploring a new technological world that will allow us to create new forms of entertainment and content we couldn’t have previously imagined,” Fuller said in a statement.
Anni-Frid Lyngstad said fans around the world always ask about a reunion, and added: “I hope this new Abba creation will excite them as much as it excites me.”
“We’re inspired by the limitless possibilities of what the future holds and are loving being a part of creating something new and dramatic here. A time machine that captures the essence of who we were and are,” Anni-Frid Lyngstad concluded.
The Swedish band rose to fame in the 1970s with hits such as Waterloo and S.O.S. They inspired hit musical Mamma Mia!, and are one of the most commercially successful acts in the history of pop music, with fans the world over of all ages.
ABBA split in 1982. They were last seen together at a 50th anniversary party in June.
It’s believed the show will be a 3D experience and kick off in 2018.
“‘It’s all in the early stages at the moment. Using holograms on stage is not a new thing concept. The technology is already available and it has previously been used for shows featuring stars like Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson and Frank Sinatra,” a source told The Sun.
More details will be announced about the project next year.
The group have become one of the best selling pop bands of all time.
